Developed by Family Care International and Gynuity Health Projects, the Misoprostol for Postpartum Hemorrhage Information Kit contains two new publications: Postpartum Hemorrhage: A challenge for safe motherhood provides an overview of one of the major causes of maternal death and disability in developing countries: severe bleeding following childbirth, and Postpartum Hemorrhage: Responding to the Challenge, which outlines the potential role of a widely available drug (misoprostol) in reducing deaths from postpartum hemorrhage, and describes a multi-country initiative being undertaken to evaluate misoprostol as an alternative therapy for postpartum hemorrhage prevention and treatment.

El manual incluye las notas para facilitación, el contenido de presentaciones en power point sobre los temas, y sugerencias para trabajos en grupo que ayuden a fortaceler las habilidades de las personas participantes en proyetos que contribuen al fortalecimiento institucional de organizaciones que trabajam com jóvenes en la República Dominicana, Panamá y Haití, para la mejora de su salud y sus derechos sexuales y reproductivos.

Tú, tu vida y tu sueños: un manual para gente joven es un libro diseñado para la lectura individual y para apoyar los programas de promoción de la salud y los derechos sexuales y reproductivos de las personas jóvenes y adolescentes. Se dirige a jóvenes de entre 12 y 19 años, pero también puede ser de utilidad para personas de menor y mayor edad, educadores pares y comunitarios, padres y madres y maestros/as.

Helps young people make informed decisions about their sexual lives by providing comprehensive information for adolescents on changes during puberty, sexuality and sexual health, pregnancy and contraception, STIs including HIV/ AIDS, sexual coercion and violence, substance abuse, building healthy relationships, communicating with parents, and planning for the future. The manual has been developed in three languages and four different versions reflecting the regional contexts and the unique challenges facing adolescents in Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.
